By this stage we should have a social MVP in DAVI and this next stage is working out how we closely link governance and off chain discussions around governance together.
One obvious part is having only one button which is for creating a discussion and once it is created the discussion can be put on chain for voting.
(We would also have an override to immediately create a proposal but most governance starts with discussion)
We can then continue to show the on chain history of a discussion alongside the off chain social part. If a proposal has gone to vote and been rejected but is back in the discussion phase then we can show this as an event.
Giving users an option to justify their vote that is highlighted in the proposal is a great way of giving more context around votes (thanks Augusto for suggestion).
And a lot more we have to consider from a UX perspective.

Interesting ideas. I think linking proposal voting and discussion is the holy grail of governance ux. imo users will continue to have a primary place for discussion that is separate from where they are actually voting, but both will need to be integrated into each other.
Showing proposal discussion within the voting interface is the more important one imo
